Installation Instructions for PT Logo Flames

 1. The flames come together on one sheet.  You must first  cut them apart.

 2. Trim off all masking material on the end that will butt up  to the existing chrome PT logos on the doors.

 3. Be very careful not to cut into the vinyl flames.

 4. The flames for the passenger door are more difficult to cut than the drivers side.  Carefully cut out each each area. Take your time!

 5. When you’re done cutting the passenger side flames they should look like the photo above.  You don’t have to cut right up to the flames as there will be a small space between the flames and the chrome logo when you install them.

 6. The driver’s side is much easier to cut!

 7. When finished, the driver’s side flames should look like the photo.

8. Make sure vehile is free from dirt and wax where the flames are to be installed.

9. Carefully and slowly peel the clear masking which picks up the flames off of the backing paper.

10. Align the graphics into place by eye.  Leave about 1/64 to 1/8 inch of space between the chrome PT logos and the flames.    If you have contrasting colors you may place the flames closer to the logos.  If you have silver flames then it is recommended that you space the flames slightly farther away from the logos.

11. Press firmly into place using your fingernail, a credit card, or a bondo-type squeegee.

12. Very slowly and carefully peel the clear masking on a 180 degree angle (flat back over itself).  If any parts of the flames do not stick right away, re-press them into place and try again.  In color weather a heat gun or hair dryer can be used to gently heat the surface to allow better adhesion.

13. When washing, be very careful not to scrub or high-pressure wash directly on the thin tips of the flames. You may wax over the flames approximately 1 week after installation.  Again, be careful not to peel up the thin tips.
